How to publish your website using Microsoft Frontpage 2000

How to publish your website using Microsoft Frontpage 2000

Start Microsoft FrontPage 2000 and Open (or create) your web site on your PC/computer. When you are ready to publish the files to the online website, choose the 'Publish Web...' option from the 'File' menu.  In FrontPage 2000 the dialog will look like the image below.

Publish in FrontPage

Enter your domain name (for example : www.kkboss.com) as in the example above. If this is the first time you are publishing, you can choose the "Publish all pages, overwriting any already on the destination." Otherwise, you will normally want to select "Publish changed pages only."  You may need to click on the 'Options' button to see these options.

If you receive this error message below, you can ignore it -- There is no need to restart the server.  Follow the steps above to publish again.

FrontPage Error

When publishing is completed, you will see this message in FP 2000:

Published Success

You can repeat these steps any time you make changes to your site and need to update the changes on the web server. If you have trouble using FrontPage, you can find additional help at the microsoft web site at http://microsoft.com/frontpage/
