Problem to install Digi broadband on Windows Vista computer?

If you have difficulty to install Digi broadband to your Windows Vista computer, please goto this website, click on the “Windows Vista Patch” to download a small file which contain 3 file including 2 pdf file. Read the PDF file.

Details of the problem:
Users will experience the following problem:

DiGi Internet connection manager is unable to detect the modem plugged into the PC via USB port; or
Modem is detected but unable to successfully connect to internet.

This will only happen after user performs a Windows update with KB938371 patch.

Details of Windows update KB938371:
Update from Microsoft.com:

Install this update to enable future updates to install successfully on all editions of Windows Vista. This update may be required before selected future updates can be installed. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. Once you have installed this item, it cannot be removed.

In Vista, make sure this update is installed by pressing the Windows key, typing ‘Windows Update’, and pressing Enter. Click “View update history” in the left pane and look for an entry labeled Security Update for Windows Vista (KB938371)

If the update is applied, then the patch needs to be applied as well.

Step 1:
Double click the usbstoryTool.exe.

Click on “restore system”…then it will give you a broken English message —> “Restor Success”
